Got this from the Duvel guy in Utrecht
From a 440ml can into a pint glass
Canned 18 April 2019
NZ Double IPA
APPEARANCE: Pours a small, fluffy, creamy white head with good retention. Slightly hazy amber yellow in color with little carbonation evident. Head recedes to a faint wisp and clings to the glass. A splotchy wisp remains until the end leaving touches of lacing down the glass as it empties.
SMELL: Some caramel malts, honeydew melon, floral notes, orange and tangerine as well. Decent strength.
TASTE: Quite flavorful up front, with caramel sweetness, melon, some floral flavors, orange, mandarin and tangerine fruits, with some alcohol at the swallow. Bolder finish of honeydew and caramel sweetness, orange and tangerine flavors, some floral hop bitterness and some alcohol. Flavorful.
PALATE: Medium-fuller body and carbonation. Creamy on the palate, weighty, goes down smooth and finishes a bit mouth-coating. Some alcohol lingers.
OVERALL: This is enjoyable stuff for sure. The look and feel certainly fit the bill while the aroma and flavor quench the thirst for a double IPA. The NZ hops are certainly different than your standard US style hop profile, but that makes it all the more enjoyable. Something worth getting seconds of if you’ve got access to it. Cheers!

Draught @ Delirium Café Amsterdam festival. 1 day after kegging. Presented as a NZ DIPA. Hazy golden yellow colour. Big white head with good retention. Aroma's: juicy and malty, sweet fruit. Retronasal it's sweetish and fruity and light dank. Flavour is moderate sweet with light moderate bitterness. Medium bodied. Long finish, a bit herbal and light to moderate bitter. Nice, but not entirely convincing.
