Got this one from Duvel guy in Utrecht
From a 440ml can into a pint glass
Canned 21 March 2019
7-Hops Westcoast IPA
APPEARANCE: Pours a one finger, medium looking, creamy white head with good retention. Perfectly transparent sunglow yellow with a touch of carbonation as well. Head recedes to a full wisp and clings to the glass. A faint wisp remains leaving lots of solid lacing down the glass.
SMELL: Hop forward nose with citrus, lemon and grapefruit aromas, tangerine, peaches, pineapple and some honeydew melon on the nose. Some passion fruit and mango as well. Lots of fruity aromas and bold for sure. Very nice.
TASTE: Caramel flavors, piney hops, citrus and fruity flavors up front. More citrus and melon at the swallow, with a bold finish of melon sweetness, pineapple and lemony citrus flavors, passion fruit, peaches, as well as some nice grapefruit bitterness lingers on the palate. Lots of great hop flavor on this one. Really enjoyable.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy on the palate, smooth, goes down smooth and finishes a bit dry. Some bitterness lingers. Creamy and smooth for sure.
OVERALL: This might be the best West Coast IPA they’ve made, and it’s certainly the best one in the canned series so far. Maybe even the best one ever made in the country. Outstanding. Really good, and the plethora of hop varieties makes it an orchestra of flavor and aroma. The feel is also top notch for the style, which just adds to the overall experience. A stellar creation and definitely worth drinking regularly, even with the increased price tag. Will have to get more of this stuff. Excellent. Cheers!
