Got this from the Duvel guy in Utrecht
From a 440ml can into a pint glass
Canned 4 September 2019
Brut IPA
APPEARANCE: Pours a 1+ finger, looser, foamy white head with great retention. Perfectly clear golden yellow with medium levels of carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a full wisp and coats the glass. Splotchy wisp remains leaving touches of lacing.
SMELL: Plenty of melon, cantaloupe, honey, lime aromas, with notes of pineapple as well. Bolder .
TASTE: Melon sweetness, some caramel, honey and cantaloupe up front, then some pineapple and a touch of bitterness at the swallow. Medium but lingering finish of honeydew melon, caramel sweetness, pineapple, tropical notes, some lime flavors and a touch of bitterness on the palate.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Light and creamy on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a touch dry. A hint of bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: A refreshing IPA. I’ve enjoyed soraci ace hops in other beers, specifically an imperial stout with this particular hop, and this one is also plenty enjoyable. Always fun trying these new freshly canned Uiltje brews and this one is good stuff.
