Got this from the Duvel guy in Utrecht
From a 44cl can into a pint glass
Canned 6 November 2019
SWDIPA
Brewed with salt, lime and cactus fruit
APPEARANCE: Pours a 1+ finger, medium looking, frothy and foamy white head with great retention. Perfectly transparent straw yellow with no carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a full wisp and clings to the glass. A slight wisp remains leaving falling dots of lacing down the glass as it empties. Good looking.
SMELL: Light caramel malts, honeydew melon, lime aromas, some citrus notes and light grassy hints as well. Medium strength.
TASTE: Caramel notes, some citrus flavors, lime, and a pinch of salt up front. Interesting, with some grassy and bitter flavors at the swallow. Bold finish of caramel, grassy hops, citrus flavors, definite lime character, as well as a touch of salty stuff lingers on the palate. Some decent bitterness as well.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy on the palate, goes down fine and finishes dry on the palate. A bit of bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: This is a good one. The lime addition is subtle but great and the pinch of salt actually plays a minor but enjoyable role in the entire show. I’m not sure what cactus fruits are but whatever they are, they’re done nicely here as well. Good beer all around. Cheers!

Interesting beer. hazy but called southwest DIPA due to additions of lime, salt and cactus. Did not taste much of a cactus, but clearly got a nice lime and brine flavor and some additional fruitiness. A beer substitute for a magerita certainly
