Got this at the Duvel guy in Utrecht
From a 44cl can into a pint glass
Canned 20 October 2020
NEIPA
APPEARANCE: Pours out a one finger, medium looking, creamy white head with great retention. Hazy amber yellow in color with no carbonation evident. Head recedes to a full wisp cap and clings to the glass. Splotchy wisp remains leaving solid lacing down the glass as it empties. Good looking.
SMELL: Medium nose of honeydew melon, pineapple, apricot aromas and some decent passion fruit character as well.
TASTE: More flavor that the nose had indicated. Pineapple, apricot flavors, as well as passion fruit up front, with some honeydew sweetness as well. Clean finish with light melon sweetness, pineapple and tropical notes lingering on the palate. No bitterness on this one. Really good for a lower ABV brew.
PALATE: Lighter body and medium levels of carbonation. A little foamy on the palate perhaps, but smooth enough, light, goes down fine and finishes rather dry. No bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: Tasty and tasty. The nose was perhaps a little mute initially, but there’s more than enough flavor in this one to make it very enjoyable. No bitterness here either, and the tropical character comes out more as it sits. The feel is a little foamier than I'd like, but that's minor. Worth checking out if you’re a fan of the brewery. Cheers!
