Got this from the Duvel guy in Utrecht. Cheers!
From a 44cl can into a snifter
Canned 17 November 2020
IPA
APPEARANCE: Pours a 1+ finger. Medium looking, foamy, slightly creamy white head with good retention. Hazy gamboge orange with no real carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a full wisp and clings to the glass. A thin half-wisp remains leaving solid lacing down the glass.
SMELL: Caramel malts, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, some pineapple, peaches and mandarins on the nose. Solid strength and plenty aromatic.
TASTE: Melon, caramel sweetness, some honey notes with pineapple and peaches at the swallow. Plenty fruity and flavorful. Bolder finish of melon, honey, peaches, mandarin and pineapple fruitiness lingers long after the swallow. A touch of bitterness but mild. Flavorful.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a touch mouth-coating. No real bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: This is really good. Sweeter, fruiter, and very well made. Plenty forthcoming as well. Uiltje always does a great job with these bi-weekly releases and this is no exception. Good stuff and well worth picking up multiples. Cheers!
