Got this from the Duvel guy in Utrecht
From a 44cl can into a snifter
Canned 15 December 2020
Double IPA DDH
APPEARANCE: Pours a one finger, medium looking, creamy white head with very good retention. Clear amber yellow in color with next to no carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a full wisp and clings to the glass. Half wisp remains leaving solid lacing down the glass.
SMELL: Tropical fruits, with lots of passion fruit, pineapple, honeydew melon, caramel and orange notes. Aromatic.
TASTE: Passion fruit, orange and mandarin flavors, pineapple and tropical fruits, honeydew melon and caramel sweetness up front. Flavorful. Bolder finish of passion fruit, pineapple, honeydew, caramel sweetness, some orange flavor and a hint of spicy alcohol. Flavorful and enjoyable.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes slightly dry on the palate. A bit of spicy alcohol lingers.
OVERALL: Really nice. One of the better ones to come out by Uiltje recently. Their double IPAs are usually better than their singles, and this is no exception. Luckily this is way, way better than their Pacific Rangers, which came out about a month ago. I guess the burnt rubber character was just a hiccup. Good stuff here and well worth buying in multiples. Cheers!
