Got this from the mitra in Maarssen
From a 44cl can into a pint glass
Canned 18 May 2021
ABV: 5.6%
Juicy IPA
APPEARANCE: Pours a one finger, medium looking, creamy white head with decent retention. Cloudy xanthous orange with no carbonation evident. Head fades quickly to a thin wisp and ring. Thin film remains leaving some sticky lacing on the glass as it empties. Solid looking.
SMELL: Lots of passion fruit on the nose, as well as a big does of pineapple as well. Very tropical. Notes of mango and papaya. Bold and tropical goodness. Nice.
TASTE: Bold tropical goodness up front, with passion fruit and plenty of fresh pineapple on this one. Some hay and a bit of funk without the sourness. More fruity flavors at the swallow, moving into a bold finish of passion fruit, pineapple, papaya, a hint of mango and some caramel sweetness lingering on the palate, with just enough of a funky note to be refreshing. No bitterness on this one. Good stuff.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy on the palate,, goes down smooth and finishes somewhat dry.
OVERALL: Good stuff. Plenty of tropical fruit flavor and a dose funk, which makes it very refreshing. This is certainly juicy and enjoyable. This might be the best NEIPA I’ve had from ‘t Uiltje, but then again, most of their IPAs are very good indeed. Worth checking out if you like the style. I certainly do. Cheers!
