Got this one from the Duvel Guy in Utrecht
From a 44cl can into a pint glass
Canned 29 June 2021
7.0%
Corn Brut IPA
APPEARANCE: Pours a one finger, looser, foamy, fizzy white head with decent retention. Perfectly clear straw yellow with no carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a full creamy cap. A splotchy wisp remains leaving touches of lacing down the glass as it empties.
SMELL: Caramel malts, honeydew melon, green grapes and some cantaloupe on the nose. Hints of pineapple as well. Medium strength.
TASTE: Caramel sweetness, green grapes and some honeydew melon up front. Clear finish with notes of pineapple, melon, cantaloupe and caramel sweetness lingers on the palate. Light, crisp with no real bitterness.
PALATE: Medium-lighter body and medium carbonation. Creamy enough on the palate, goes down fine and finishes rather dry. No bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: Good stuff. Crisp, refreshing with a clean finish. This is a very neutral IPA for sure. You might even say it’s a light pale ale, the way it drinks away so easily. Nice flavor profile and the crisp, clean finish makes it quite refreshing. Well worth checking out. Cheers!
