Pours a cloudy, golden amber coloration with a small, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity, caramel malt and floral, citrus hops, with notes of grapefruit and tangerine. Taste is a good balance of biscuity, caramel malt and fruity, floral, bitter and slightly herbal and resinous hops, with citrus and lighter tropical notes of grapefruit, tangerine and mango. Finishes with a medium/strong bitterness and some grapefruit and floral, herbal notes lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
While this a bit too sweet and floral for my personal taste, the good bitterness and hints of herbal and resinous notes kinda make up for that. Apart from that strong floral touch, the flavor profile is dominated by citrus note, with a light tropical touch, although the hops feel a little washed out here, which may be due to this being 4 months old though. Overall, this makes for an enjoyable enough old school IPA that is quite bitter, but also quite sweet and floral. Not really for me, but not bad either.
