Too Cool To Go Skinny DIPA

After my long-ass bicycle trip to Val Dieu, I stopped into my fave place back in Maastricht - Cafe Frape - for a nightcap or 2.... Opted for a 0.44l (~15oz) can of this Uiltje product, which cost me €9.50.

It was a medium-golden hue, a touch hazy, with a softy, creamy, slightly off-white head. It lasted well with good lace. Nose had tangerine, apricot and pineapple in a nice, fruity, aromatic mix. Feel was smooth and low-prickle on the tongue, with a medium body.

Flavor had crackery malts at the opening, with some lightly toasty malt action. It was fruity, with more apricot and tangerine. Was a smidge pithy and rindy, too, with a dry finish. A tasty, solid DIPA..... Prost!!

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.9%. Hops are Superdelic, Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic and Simcoe. Slightly hazy golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of oranges and orange marmalade, also other citrus fruits, a hint of spruce. Rich mouthfeel. Medium sweet flavour, notes of citric hops, pine needles, alcohol and noticeable bittering hops, well balanced and enjoyable.
