Another "Dopelleu" beer from the makers of Chopfab.
Lives up to its name with a dark copper/brown. Crystal clear with a big foamy head. Smells strongly of hops and honey malt. Wood is subtle. Smells strong, and very straightforward.
Tastes much more hoppy than it smells, and has a medium-long wood middle and finish. Medium body, a little slick. A little bright and acidic, though not sharp.
I've had, and liked, oak aged IPAs (e.g., Great Divide Rumble), and this beer reminds me of them. A good entry into the style.
Might buy again, but not an immediate favorite.
