Found in a bottle shop in Zurich. Pleased to find Doppeleu's high end label. Best by 11/2014.
Color us ruby brown, a nice foamy head, smooth, if poured hard enough. Very clear.
Smell is strong on yeast, ginger. Smells happy and christmasy.
First taste is bright, a little watery, a bitter orange peel comes in second and lingers longer. That initial taste is pretty crisp before the flavor settles down into that final bitterness. Orange and ginger are more prominent than the cinnamon. Nice!
Celebratory, festive.
Not as oily as I might have expected, for a winter warmer, nor as sweet.
Would buy more, if I could.
