Poured into tulip glass, gold color, perfectly clear. Medium white head with only fair retention. Aroma is malt forward, toasty and grainy notes. Taste has toasted & grainy presence, some fruitiness (apple) with little hop presence. Clean fermentation profile. Balance is definitely tilted toward malt. Medium body and medium-high carb level that has slight lingering malt presence. Hits most of the style guidelines, overall a pleasant experience.
