I picked up this single 11.5oz bottle while on a business trip to Zurich in December (6 months ago). I've been hoarding it in the back of the fridge and really should have reviewed it by now. Today I'm Jonesin' for a tripel so here goes. Code 01.2016 L000009 is stamped on the minimalist label, which is merely a 1/2" strip of paper up one side of the neck, over the cap, and back down the side.
Poured cold into a tulip. Not much head, just a small ring of tiny white bubbles clinging to the glass.
Brew is a clear thick golden color. The nose is a clean light malty-honey sweetness with just a faint whiff of spicy noble hop and alcohol. Some mild green and citrus notes emerge as it warms. Taste is just like the smell but even more subtle. A welcome dose of peppery, solventy alcohol is a dominant characteristic and lingers quite long into the finish. Body is moderately thick, low carbonation, and leaves a slight slickness behind. Despite some characteristics that would suggest otherwise, it drinks very easily.
Overall a fairly solid example of the style. A little thin on flavor and carbonation, but that could be my fault for letting it sit this long.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
