From 12oz bottle picked up at Brewery. I guess this is their 2nd anniversary release. It's a Rye Whisky barrel aged Barleywine. The bottles sold out in less then 2 hours. The pour is not to impressive, no head at all. Dark ruby red color. The smell is great. Very strong Caramel and toffee notes, some whisky aromas as well. the taste is even better. Very sweet with burnt caramel dominating. Very smooth aftertaste. The barrel aging is not as noticeable as I'd like but still present. Even with that This Barleywine feels just right. Thick and rich but not too over powering. One of the best BA Barleywines I've had yet. The $10 was well worth it. I'm going to age my other one for a few years and revisit this review.
