Take a great Belgian-style golden ale, infuse it with apricot and saffron and then age it in fresh oak barrels that had been holding 100% agave tequila and you have Pescado Dorado. This edition is limited to 300 cases and is available only in New Jersey. Dorado features a bright golden color with a fine, off-white head. The apricot-forward nose, followed by agave, oak and floral notes gives way to mild pear and melon flavors in the finish.

Had at the brewery on 7/9. Pours a clear dark gold color with a one finger head that has good retention.
Smell is tequila and agave in the foreground. Background has some fruity sweetness and spice. Flavor wise is pretty similar, the agave and oak combine to give it a tequila blast, there's some peachy sweetness in the middle, and the finish is lingering and quite wine-like with some spices. It's a pretty complex beer but I'm not sure if it's meshing as well as I hoped. It's basically a beer / margarita hybrid.
Body is medium and it gets a bit heavy after awhile. Overall was a well made beer but I didn't like it enough to get the full 750mL bottle.
