Alluring aromas of rich caramel, bright roast, and hints of chocolate lead to decadent notes of coffee and caramel sweetness in this full-bodied porter.

1 PINT can
Served in a snifter
This beer pours dark brown and is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.
The smell is amazing! Tons of caramel the espresso is subdued at first but grows as it warms.
Huge caramel flavor, almost cloying. the espresso is by far a secondary flavor. It comes in the back end.
I feel like it is thin bodied for a porter with an almost watery mouthfeel
The smell is the best attribute of this beer. Cloying sweetness and a thin mouthfeel are the biggest detriments. It looks fine. Definitely a dessert beer.

16 oz. can (BB 8/20/22) poured into a pint glass with a dark brown, almost black, opaque color, small tan head and lasting lace. Smells of espresso up front along with notes of caramel and chocolate. Taste follows aroma with strong bitter coffee, caramel, roasted malt and chocolate. Medium bodied with good carbonation and slightly bitter finish. Overall, smells great with great coffee flavor, but could use a tad more sweetness to cover coffee bitterness.

Pours a dark brown color with ruby and copper edges and well over a finger of beige head. The nose has fairly bold notes of both caramel and roasted coffee. The caramel and coffee notes are both definitely present in the flavor profile. There is also a subtle roast in the background. The finish also has it's share of roasted malt.

From a tap into a clear pint glass it came. Its color is blackish brown, nicely bright and topped by a suitable light beige head. There's a great caramel expresso aroma, just like you'd get in your favorite coffee shop. The nose finds little evidence of roasted malt. There's plenty of caramel to taste, but it's not at all too sweet. The expresso is the dominant flavor and it's assisted by some roasted barley malt, not noticed by the nose. Good glass lacing has occurred. The aftertaste finishes with a slight burnt coffee affect, a combination of the expresso and roasted malt. Other than that, the mouthfeel is fine. This is not a desert beer, it's a coffee stout with a caramel inclusion. The ratings here reflect how well it captures those two flavors.

12 oz pour at Ariano restaurant in Media.
Appearance. Essentially black and opaque body. Excellent tan head with patterned lacing.
This extraordinary porter features the dark roasted grains and lightly spicy hops blended in equally balanced proportions with caramel and expresso. Nicely sweet with a near neutral aftertaste.
Overall. Superb.

Very good, sweet , delicious treat if that's what you're in the mood for. Caramel, vanilla, candy. Maybe the Espresso addition keeps the sweetness in check? I suppose, but can ANYONE make an coffee forward beer anymore? Because I don't remember the last one I had ... Oh wait, I do. 2018. KBS, and CBS, were both coffee forward, and amazing, that year ... WTF.
This beer could approach world class if the brewer could bring the coffee forward. What and ever.

I really like this beer it has a very good sweet character to it with notes of vanilla and marshmallow matching the bitterness of the coffee and espresso. Smooth easy drinking body and good price this one's a winner!
