Contents of a twelve ounce can fit nicely inside a clear pint glass. A nice white head about half an inch formed. The beer is very light copper-amber and it's dull and a bit cloudy. Listed as an ale, it brings more like a common lager combination of malt and hops to the nose. There's plenty of the aroma. The taste is pleasant and mostly indistinctive. It is fuller flavored than the common lager, but both the malt and even more so, the hops seem restrained. The malt is sweet and carries most of the flavor. That's not a bad thing, except the brew's name is Crisp Ale, not Malt Ale. That may be nitpicking, since it really is an enjoyable beer. Soft across the palate, mildly hoppy and with a nice smooth malty body, this is accessible to almost anyone who likes beer. The head sustained and there was some attractive glass lacing. One negative is a yeasty presence both on the taste buds and tongue at the finish. Overall, it may not be crisp and there's no outstanding character, but this is one of those beers than goes down easily and with enough taste, more than one seems like a good idea.

12 fl. oz. can coded "4004 09/16/22 07:43:23" and sampled on 06/12/22

Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a slightly hazy golden body beneath a short head of white foam. I wonder why this is hazy; shouldn't it be clear? The aroma expresses sweetish and grainy malt. The flavor follows with some added fruitiness that's like juicy apple with a hint of sweet red berries. The malt is sweetish, grainy, and bready. I'm not finding any real bitterness, and not a lot in the way of hop flavor either. What is there is a little floral, softly herbal, and delicately spicy - at least the hops are nice. Somehow it keeps from becoming sweet and cloying although I imagine that if you drank more than one it would start to build up on you. I guess what I'm really saying is that it's not very well balanced. In the mouth it's medium bodied on the lighter side, and crisp. The head held up fairly well, and it left some OK lacing but it's really not that good. All in all it pulls off what American blonde ales used to be, or still are, and if that's your thing go for it.

Pours a relatively clear honey like color, quick fading head into thing layer of white bubbles with no lacing.
Nose is fruity and sweet, like the sweet side of orange mixed with some sweet grapes or white pear.
The taste mirrors the nose little bit of fruity sweetness, and an almost honey like wafer taste to it. The same generic grape like fruitiness is present in the taste as well.
Nice light body beer that is quite easy to drink and very refreshing. The sweetness is just a tad too much IMO but it isn't anything offensive either. Clean finish, moderately dry which leads you to want the next sip.
This isn't my favorite style of beer but I enjoyed drinking this one. It is refreshing but to me its sweetness gets in the way of being even more refreshing.

Pours a deep golden color with not much head that turns flat to nothing. Smells of fruity yeast esters and meaty, fat, sweet malt where the smell and taste are the same. It is semi dry. I do not like this and feel it has missed the mark being too malty sweet for what it is.
