The second in a rotating series of IPAs. This one was dry hopped with a massive amount of citra hops.

On draft into pint glass.
Really liked this beer, reminds me of a subdued treehouse IPA.
Amber in color with 2 inch head
Lovely nose, lots of citrus and tropical fruits...mango and passion.
Very much the same as the palate. Definitely enjoyed the juicyness of it.
Nice medium body, very easy drinking.

Drank from a 1 pint (16 fl. oz.) can procured at The Well, Brooklyn, NY
12/1/15
Served in a snifter
Big thanks to Sean, the bartender at The Well, for hooking me up with this.
A tight, creamy, finger tall crown topped the slightly hazed, dark orangey-amber body. Solid retention. The head slowly dropped to a lasting cap of froth. A patchy wall of lacing coated the glass and stuck around for most of the session.
The nose was pure strawberry bliss. I have smelled strawberry before in IPAs but nowhere near this intense. The aroma reminded me of fresh strawberries or perhaps sticking your nose in a bag of frozen strawberries. Super fruity and bright. There was a hint of orange oil in the background. Touch of peach as well. All in all, really intriguing.
The flavor profile was also super fruity but a bit more typical for the style. Strawberries were noticeable right off the bat, but they soon gave way to more citrus forward notes. Candied orange peel was apparent. Good amount of peach. There was a generic tropical fruitiness. Orange rind came through in the finish. Just a touch of pithy bitterness.
The mouthfeel was lighter bodied for the style and a fairly airy initially. A crisp, sprightly, finely beaded effervescence gave the liquid a frothy suppleness. With time, the carbonation settled down and the liquid turned smooth and creamy.
A number of hoppy beers demonstrate some really interesting hop profiles, but Oscillation II might take the cake in terms of uniqueness. The strawberry notes in this beer were so intense that I might have mistaken it for a fruit-infused beer rather than a double IPA. Thanks again to Sean for introducing me to this!

Look: Beautiful golden color. looks to be more of a malty ipa off of the bat
Smell: milk dud caramel, almost exactly, with some hoppiness following. wow that smell is beautiful
Taste: Citra or Simcoe hops its gotta be, with a malty backbone thats like sweet milk dud caramel just like the nose
Feel: smooth, balance, not overly hoppy but moreso then its little brother oscillation 001. beautiful take on the style.
Overall: 4.85. Such an underrated brewery and i look forward to trying more of the oscillations and other beers in the future! theyre just as good as other half and getting better
