Picked this up at the brewery when it was released and finally got around to it this week, along with all of the other Finback beers in my stash. I think the Oscillations have been their best offerings to date and this version served as proof why, given how tasty, balanced, and smooth it was. It was tough to keep this in my glass for the duration of my review!
This had a good pour to this along with a date of 8/2 on the bottom of the can, right below "#5 Alive". A nice murky apricot hue, extremely long-lasting head, and wonderful murkiness combined for a pleasing appearance. Lots of mango, melon, and honeydew in the nose with even more of those in the taste. Dank, pithy, and understated, the mouthfeel had lots of bread and hints of spice to balance out the heavier fruit and hop aspects and the malt was in near-perfect proportion to the bitterness in this beer. Medium balanced without a lot of carbonation, there was just a hint of resin to give this some slickness without making the feel like a West Coast IPA. The dank, mango tone stuck around in the aftertaste along with some slightly herbal notes that felt more pronounced once everything else faded away.
Not a weak beer by any means, the alcohol could be felt but not tasted as it complemented the beer by allowing it to have a nice, warming aspect to it. Each Oscillation has slight variations from the others but overall, it's Finback's best beer as it even held up well over time (unlike some of the others). Can't wait for the 006 to make it's way here after being released this past weekend as this line held up well compared to other giants from Tree House, Trillium, Night Shift, and SingleCut. Another beer that's helping to put New York on the map and well worth the trek to Queens to obtain. Solid in every aspect!

Decent foamy thicker but smaller head fades at a med pace, nice lacing, super murky tangerine orange color.
Nose big creamy orange, orange creamscicle, tangerine, creamy malt, orange juice, good pith.
Taste brings lots more orange juice, Tangerine, Clementine, pith, bitter orange pith and candied orange, spicy hop later, creamy malt, orange cream, pith, big juicy orange cream finish, fair bitterness, drier.
Mouth is med bod, nice fluffy carb.
Overall awesome, great hop character, nice malt, typical North East ipa.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy light orange hue with a thin one finger head that fades to light wisps.
S - Aromas of light citrus, faint mosaic, light pine and fainter tropical notes.
T - Taste is very nice, really pleasant tropical notes, really pleasant citrus, nice bitterness, really tasty pineapple. Good pineapple and citrus. Nice.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, crisp, clean.
O - Overall this was a very nice ipa, excellent tropical notes. Well done.
