This was yet another beer from Finback that I traded for a while ago, as it had a date of 3/16 on the bottom of the can with "MISSIN TIM" written above it. I do love my teas from places like Teavana and this reminded me of it, as the Rooibos could be felt and discerned here from the get-go. Warm and waxy, this really balanced the herbal qualities of that with the relatively popular hops that made this beer pretty familiar-tasting, and accessible.
Nice pour to this as the beer was a brassy gold with lots of wax to the appearance. Plenty of thick bubbles were on top of this and the top of my pint glass was where a few rings of lacing held their own for the duration of my session. Like most of Finback's other beers, this one had a muted but pleasing aroma of marmalade, stone fruit, and herbal tea. Plenty of tangerine and marmalade in the nose along with some faint orange cream was what made this beer stand out from the pack. Sweet and full of resin, this somehow felt like a Tired Hands beer without being a malt overdose. That was relatively basic and recessed and the carbonation was moderate as well. allowing for the fruit from the hops and from the tea to interact with each other right from the start.
Not a lot of alcohol here as this was the slightest bit warming to the palate. Props to this beer for being different without coming across as terribly unusual or anomalous. Worth a go for any of Finback's fans or those looking for an IPA with more flavor, spice, and variance. I wish they'd brew this again - tea and all!

A pounder can into a tumbler appears hazy golden with soapy white head/lace.
Aroma of tropical fruitiness, pineapple and herbs like mint. The taste is fruity hops, mint-like and enjoyable with a fresh grain sweetness that is almost cereal-like akin to wheat.
This is mediumnin body with modest carbonation. Overall not bad.

16oz can into a Surly teku. Shared with schen9303.
Great look, color and head retention. Nose is sweet and citrussy. Hints of mandarin orange, pineapple and floral hand soap. Aromatic and pleasant. Beer opens floral and a touch grassy. Grapefruit peel with cane sugar, citrus and notes of flower petals. Accented, spiced finish. Body is medium with moderate to low carbonation. Smooth on the palate and aggressive going down. Real drinkable.
Solid if not a stand-out for Finback. This one's more floral than tea....full.

Pours a hazy dark orange with a one finger head, thin lacing. Smells sweet, watery, hop aroma and earthy notes. Taste mostly follows the nose, some tropical notes but mostly sweet and somewhat flat hops. Maybe the tea is weird? Not sure... something a little off about this one. Not especially good, not especially bad.

Tal silver can...3/16/17 printed on the bottom
Pours with a medium haze, lighter almond in color, tiny bubble head, film and leaving coating low sheetng and higher intricate webs of lacing.
I ger some minty hps and herbal tea on the nose. Meh...kinda off putting.
I get more tea notes on the palate, along with some minty fruity things going on...I never get it when brewers put tea in their beer...I wish the fruity hoppy notes were more bold here, but sadly this is much more of a "tea" bomb...and who amongst us is looking for that...one and done here fo sho
