This was another Finback offering that I traded for a while ago and finally got around to tonight. Love the label and name and the liquid on the inside wasn't so bad either. Juicy, this felt like it had Idaho 7 or something similar as the experimental hop as there was a tropical undertone that grew on my quite nicely as this fully warmed up!
Not a bad pour to this as the beer was a cloudy, muted goldenrod with plenty of light seeping in around the edges. A good amount of head topped this off as there wasn't that much lacing to be seen down the side of my pint glass once I sipped this. Tons of mango, papaya, peach, and apricot in the soft but bright nose as all of these emerged more fully in the taste. Strawberry, fruit juice, dry white cheese, and cucumber came out in the taste as this was quite pleasing to the palate while being light. A light and lively carbonation kept the flavors in check as the basic malt stayed in the background to everything else that was going on.
There was hardly any alcohol in this either as it would have been quite easy to pop open another one once this was finished off. A feeling of white bread lingered once the liquid went down as the fruity hop notes took center stage here. Loved this beer and how easygoing it was, while never feeling light or lacking. Dated 7/20 on the bottom of the can with "CCCP" written above it, this was an item alright; and was one that I was ultimately glad that I obtained!

P- Poured from a 16 oz can, into a Cigar City spiegelau IPA glass.Date on the can is 07/20/17.
L- Thin soapy white colored head with good retention, and sticky lacing.Hazy straw colored body with moderate clarity, and distorted light showing through the glass.High amount of carbonation to keep the head going, with a low amount of sediment.
S- On the nose I get bright apricot, and dank citrus notes, with a light malt presence to balance it out.Other than that, not much on the nose.
T- The palate follows the nose with apricot and dank citrus up front, and in the middle. On the back end I get clean pine hops, with a small malt presence.
F- The mouth feel is thin, with a chalky texture.Prickly oxidation on the tongue, with a slightly dry finish.
O- Not a bad IPA,hard to content with other New England IPA's though.Definitely worth a try, probably wouldn't seek out though.

16 oz. can dated 7/20/17
Pours hazy cloudy opaque gold with a creamy white foam head. Smells like vanilla, coconut, cedar, toffee, caramelized bready malt, melon, strawberry, mango, peach, pineapple, orange citrus, grapefruit, passionfruit, guava, with dank floral earthy herbal grassy resinous pine. Tastes a bit lighter than the aroma with similar interesting notes of pineapple, orange citrus, grapefruit, melon, strawberry, vanilla, coconut, cedar, mango, peach, passionfruit, guava, some toffee, caramelized bready malts, with dank floral resinous earthy herbal grassy resinous pine. Feels medium bodied, creamy and smooth with moderate low carbonation. Overall a nice juicy session IPA.
