16oz. can served in a tulip. Pours an inky black with a loose, 1/8th inch, mocha-colored head that quickly disperses into a band that encircles the bowl. Nose expresses cocoa and roasted coffee notes as well as a trace of metallic notes in the background. Taste reveals chalky cocoa, roasted coffee and hazelnuts. Metallic notes in the nose are present, but less assertive in the flavor profile. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body (closer to light), with a mild, even carbonation. Overall, I want to like this beer more, the metallic character is a bit disappointing.

Bought a can at the Beer Shop in East Longmeadow, MA. The beer has a black appearance with a thin dark brown head. Aromas were rich in that pecan flavor with burnt chocolate smells. The taste follows the nose with a bitter dark chocolate flavor mixed with a buttery pecan hint. Creamy beer. Overall, great aromas and taste.

Pours black with a creamy frothy light brown foam head. Big notes of rich chocolate, fudgy dark chocolate, roasted coffee, maple syrup, hints of caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, with some nutty pecans. Thick medium bodied, creamy slick with moderate smooth carbonation.

Poured into a teku glass via can purchased at Finback
Color is a dark mocha brown
Smell is coffee, maple syrup, molasses and brown sugar
Taste is a big wallop of coffee out front, which is a bit bitter, but leveled out by the sweetness of the maple syrup and brown sugar..i dont detect any nuttiness that the pecans provide
Low carbonation
And mouthfeel is full and creamy
this joins the list of exceptional stouts Finback makes and there should really be no debate about which brewery in NYC makes the best ones

EBF Last Saturday Dark inky black in color with a tan head that shows moderate retention. Roasty earthy with chocolate caramel and brown sugar. Sweet maple and coffee in moderate amounts.
