Presentation: 16 oz. can with the canning date printed on the bottom. Served in a Wili Becher glass.
Appearance: The thick, two finger head stays around for a while and leaves behind a lot of lacing in bubbly spots all over the glass. It's a murky, dark gold color with a slight orange tint.
Smell: There's orange, pineapple and a slightly musty, herbal aroma at the end.
Taste: It has a lot that waxy, strong and mildly bitter citrus peel flavor, specifically grapefruit and orange. There's also some some juicy, fresh orange pulp, cantaloupe, some grains and a hint of alcohol in the background.
Mouthfeel: It's thick, creamy and medium bodied with medium-low carbonation. There's no chalkiness on the palate at all which is good.
Overall: A simple, well made double IPA that's deceptively easy to drink despite the quite big 8% ABV.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly died down, leaving a thin collar, lots of the lacing down the sides of the glass, and some specks of bubbles on the surface. Only a thin ring bubbles remains noticeable as the beer wars up.
S: Moderate aromas of stone fruit are present in the nose along with notes of grapefruit and hints of mangos. The grapefruit becomes much stronger as the beer warms up.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of stone fruit along with notes of grapefruit. Just like the smell, the grapefruit flavors become stronger as the beer warms up. Little, if any alcohol is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is quite fruity and has strong notes of aromas and flavors of citrus and tropical fruits.
Serving type: can
