Bottle from the brewery in Queens during 2020 COVID pause. Pours black with dark tan head and boozey lacing, smell is bourbon soaked chocolate cake, molasses, toffee, and burnt caramel, taste is rich chocolate syrup/fudge, warming bourbon, and big notes of roasted dark malts wavering into hints of earthiness, full bodied mouthfeel. A textbook example of a BA imperial stout, chocolatey roasty bourbon delight.

A memorably solid stout from a great NYC brewery. On draft at BierWax in Prospect Heights. Very glad that I have it a try.

Collaboration with Kane.
Pours very dark, minimal espresso head that fades. Decent lacing. Huge chocolate aroma, dark molasses, burnt bourbon barrel, light coffee. Outstanding. Rich chocolate and fudge flavors at first, dark fruits, burnt brown sugar, molasses, loads of barrel presence, light espresso finish. Thick and syrupy, rich and decadent, perfect minimal carbonation. Overall you have 2 of the best barrel aging programs on the east coast getting together and creating a masterpiece. Glad I drove to Queens on a Friday in rush hour traffic for a few bottles of this - totally worth it, and I am shocked it didn’t sell out in an hour. If Kane released it, it would be gone in minutes.
