Bottle from the brewery in Queens during the 2020 COVID pause. Pours black with a dark tan hand and boozy lacing, smell is sweet smokey dark malts, cocoa, molasses, and straight up bbq potato chips, taste is mezcal, smokey salty booze, sweet dark chocolatey malt, and finishes with a pleasant earthy smoke/charcoal, feel is full bodied and dry. A delightfully smokey and salty stout I will definitely seek out more mescaline barrel aged stouts. Yum!

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like roasted malt, oak, dried dark fruit, smoke, pepper spice, chocolate, and coffee.
I wasn't sure how this would work out - but I really like the taste of this. The mezcal barrel adds some spicy pepper and some smokiness. There's a lot of dark chocolate, too, lots of dried dark fruit, vanilla, and coffee.
This is medium bodied, very creamy, and a little bit of boozy. It's pretty drinkable, but definitely intense.
I don't know if I've had anything aged in mezcal barrels. I wasn't sure it would work, but the barrels added a really intriguing dimension to this.
