2019 vintage. Yellow label.
16oz. capped bottle into Night Shift stemware. Shared with schen9303.
Nose is bourbon, sweet soy sauce, chocolate, molasses and espresso. Sweet and creamy. Very aromatic but I don't get much banana. Beer opens lactose, chocolate, brownie and molasses. There's almost a mintiness in this up front. More chocolate, syrup, espresso and booze in the middle with a sweet bite towards the finish. Just like the nose, there's very little banana. Good but not much different than the base. Some banana flavor comes off the finish and aftertaste but you really have to want to taste it. Body is full with low carbonation. Slick and oily on the palate and goes down rich and warm. This one's very chewy... just like I want the style to be.
A decent beer overall but I'm missing the uniqueness in this one.
