16oz. capped bottle into Night Shift stemware. Shared with schen9303.
Pours dense and slick like motor oil. Nose is pungently maple. The sweet syrupy notes dominate the chocolate, coffee, cocoa and fudge usually present in this brew. Smells delicious! Beer opens chocolate, maple syrup and a slight touch of coffee. More maple flavor in the middle with just the slightest hint of hazelnut to further sweeten the experience. Fudge, caramel and more chocolate and cocoa powder towards the end. Aftertaste is maple, chocolate and fudge. This one's easily the best of the 2019 variants. Body is full with low carbonation. Slick and oily on the palate and goes down rich, slightly hot and sticky. Long, lingering aftertaste.
If you try one 2019 BQE variant, make sure it's the Maple Hazelnut. This one's worth experiencing.
