16oz. bottle into Night Shift stemware.
Nose smells like those chocolate oranges that you get around the holidays mixed with cinnamon, coffee, sweet soy sauce and cocoa powder. That the orange comes out on that level is pretty amazing. Beer opens the same as the nose. Notes of sweet, sugary cinnamon mixed with chocolate oranges and sweet soy sauce. Molasses, brownie and cocoa powder in the back with a coarse chocolate towards the finish. Sticky molasses and more orange at the finish. A tad too sweet for me. The orange again, is unmistakable. Body is full with low carbonation. Thick and rich on the palate and goes down dense, thick with a lingering finish.
The fact that this beer showcases so much of the orange addition is a feat in it self. That being said, the flavor combination isn't all the pleasing in my opinion. Quite the novelty though not overly enjoyable.
