Pint can poured in to a nonic glass. Dated 01/31/20 HAIL CTHULHU
Look- Murky hazy, golden orange with a tinge of brown color, impressive off white head with great retention and tons of sticky lacing. Light carbonation streaming as it sits.
Smell- Citrus (orange/tangerine, grapefruit, tangy lemon and lime) heavy tropical fruits (pineapple, mango, passion fruit and papaya), stone fruit (peach/nectarine), melon, bready malt, slight dank and floral/herbal notes.
Taste- Really juicy stone fruit and melon, acidic citrus fruits and pineapple, tropical fruit, light malt, pine comes through here versus the aroma.
Feel- Medium/heavy bodied, somewhat thick and sticky with a heavily harsh and astringent bitter finish, too bitter, as in burns the tongue bitter. Moderate/light carbonation on the tongue.
O- Everything is in place here except the finish. Bitterness absolutely kills what would otherwise be a world class beer.
