I couldn’t finish it. Too sweet. These dessert beers should come in smaller cans. This thing is heavy, alcohol well hidden but there so much sugar in here. Not bad overall.

Come on. I was a Finback fan boy from the very start and am naturally inclined to give them a little boost in the ratings but this is just plain not good. Tasty “pastry” stout for about 3oz but undrinkable beyond that. Simply sugary and cloying, some generic chocolate cookie dough notes. Base beer Is clearly in line with the classic old rasputin model but just overwhelmed by an insulin emergency dose of sugar.

This one pours a fairly dark black, with a decently big fluffy head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like very sweet fudge, chocolate chips, sugar, and milk chocolate.
This is extremely chocolatey, and as it warms, pretty boozy. It was a 16oz crowler, and the first 3-4 oz were tasty. As it warmed, it got heavier, and sweeter, and just overwhelming. It’s very sugary sweet, and doesn’t really taste like cookies - just chocolate syrup and caramelized sugar.
This is syrupy and thick, with too much of a heavy feel sitting on the palate.
I wanted to like this more than I did, but it was too much of an ok thing.
