Poured from a bottle (no date I could find) into a highball glass. Had once before on tap, back in February
L: clear, light straw gold with a nice white head. Fades somewhat after a couple minutes but hangs around. Very effervescent
S: met first with brett funk, followed closely by herbal/floral notes. Get some lemon as well. Nice richness to the aroma, figure that’s the oak plus brett?
T: brett again leads the way, followed closely by the spicy herbal and floral notes I got on the nose. Lemon there for sure, get some more bread flavors after a bit but nothing significant. Some alcohol warming to this, not surprising considering abv
F: medium/high carbonation, medium mouthfeel. Has a somewhat viscous finish I can’t quite place, not 100% a fan
O: a complex imperial pilsner (if that’s the right category, feel like abv says yes?) that delivers the brett funk I love. Great feel and depth from the oak fermentation, solid brew
