16oz can, the printed date is not legible but assumed to be fairly fresh, poured into a stemless wine glass.
The beer pours a bright golden straw color, cloudy complexion, fizzy white head that dissipates immediately leaving no retention nor lacing. The aroma is pretty good, modest funk and bacteria, salty brine, wheat, watermelon candy and lemon peel. The flavors are okay, super sweet watermelon candy, lemon peel, tart and funky bacteria, pale grain, mineral water and a salty bite at the back end. The mouthfeel is good, lively medium body, mild tartness, crisp and dry finish.
Verdict: A decent Gose from Finback. The watermelon reads like a jolly rancher or a similar hard candy, pure sugar and skews the balance of this. It improves as it warms but it still remains quite sweet throughout the session.
