This is a different beer than the original coasted toconut which was a porter. Hence, the separate listing.
16oz. can into a Brooklyn Brewery snifter.
Nose is chocolate, coconut, fudge, and a touch of roast. Smells like an Almond Joy. Very aromatic. Beer opens coca cola, chocolate, and huge coconut notes up front. Molasses, syrup, and sweet cream in the middle but the coconut is present throughout. Fudge, more chocolate, and more toasted coconut in the end. Syrupy aftertaste. Pretty good. Body is full with low carbonation. Smooth and rich on the palate and goes down surprisingly aggressive with a slightly coarse aftertaste.
When it comes to stouts, I've always thought the more coconut the better... but in this case, the toast comes in a bit strong. I'd like a little more creaminess with my coconut.
