Canned 8/22/22. “Little knives” stamped on the bottom of the can
Man, it’s been a while since I’ve had anything from Finback, and this is my first IPA from them which is pretty much what they’re known for. It should be interesting to see how this stacks up against some other heavy hitters. Let’s crack it open and find out
Pours a murky dark gold with 2 fingers of soapy off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
Oh man, that Sabro is intense in the nose. I’m picking up on aromas of toasted coconut, orange juice, doughy malt, creamy vanilla, grassy hops, overripe cantaloupe, and light papaya
It leans a bit sweeter in taste but it’s still quite enjoyable and finds a decent bitterness on the back end. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting raw coconut, orange marmalade, caramel malt, pineapple juice, floral hops, and light peach. The swallow brings notes of raw coconut, resinous hops, orange juice, pithy grapefruit, bready malt, overripe cantaloupe, and light weed
A medium full body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a creamy yet zesty beer. Finishes mostly dry with a solid bitterness
It’s nothing amazing, but this is good stuff. The Sabro is a bit overpowering but it’s still done well

A very good double IPA wich continue the great tradition of great beer at Finback.
Cashmere give it traditionnel bitterness wich contribute a lot to the shape of the beer. Good seller at the store since Finback got a high standart in term of quality.
If you like a good smooth, with a controled bitterness and citrus. This one is for you !
