On draught at Craft+Carry, NYC.
Pours a semi hazy cherry red color; very cool. A moderate frothy pink head yields some thick creamy lacing.
Aromas of fruit punch, sweet lemonade and marshmallows. Tart notes of strawberry, raspberry, cherries, lactic sour, and wheat malt and white pepper.
Moderately sour with flavors of tart fruit evoking an unsweetened fruit punch. Notes of lemon, strawberry, raspberry, sourdough bread, wheat and lightly peppery spices. Sweetness is mild, adding a nice balance to the lactic sourness; notes of fruit juice, vanilla, and a marshmallow chewiness.
Medium bodied with a very dry and sour finish. Mouthfeel is semi creamy. Carbonation is moderate to lively.
A very nice fruited Berliner Weisse, very refreshing and on the full bodied side. I would have again.
