Pours dark and thick. Aroma is mainly boozy bourbon barrel with light chocolate notes. Very complex flavors, dark chocolate, espresso, semi sweet. Thick texture with light carbonation works. Overall, my favorite of the three.

375ml capped bottle into a Founders snifter.
Pours super dense. Thick, rich, and oily. Huge legs and spotty lace with minimal head. Nose is booze, chocolate, sweet soy sauce, a slightly tart roasted malt, and dark fruit like fig or raisin. Moderately aromatic. Beer opens fudge, chocolate, sweet soy sauce, and molasses. I get tobacco, oak, and a touch of peat in the middle. More sweet fudge and chocolate towards the end with a sweet and almost iodine-y booziness at the finish. Delicious! Body is full with low carbonation. Slick, oily, and heavy on the palate and goes down rich and boozy with a velvety and lingering finish. Really great for the style. Body really holds the barrel well.
Finback's barrel-aged imperial stouts keep getting better and better.
