Pours very dark and thick, minimal head. Aroma is boozy chocolate, a little yeasty. Loads of chocolate and bourbon barrel, light vanilla, brown sugar, gentle sweetness. Nice thick texture. Overall a very tasty BBA stout.
My second favorite of the three.

16oz. bottle into a Founders snifter. Shared with schen9303.
Pours pitch black, dense, heavy, and slick. Super thick legs but no lace, no head. Nose is rich and aromatic. I get hints of sweet soy sauce, molasses, rich fudge, and booze. A second layer of raisin, roasted malt, and chocolate reveals itself. Really nice. Beer opens chocolate, molasses, and sweet soy sauce. Boozy towards the middle. I get oak, tobacco, and more molasses. Layers of vanilla, fudge, anise, and some raisin towards the end. Fudgy aftertaste. So good. Body is rich with low carbonation. Slick and oily on the palate and goes down warm, luscious, and viscous. Long, lingering, sticky aftertaste. Near perfect.
No adjuncts, just barrel and a perfectly made imperial stout for aging. Don't sleep on this one. It's outstanding.
