Pours a completely opaque color of grapefruit juice with two fingers of head. The nose has a potent tingly hop bitterness to go along with a grainy background. Citrus fruits are upfront in the flavor profile. The finish is resiny, pithy and bitter.

This brings the visuals usually associated with an oaty brew. The head is somewhat foamy, stark white and excessive. The color of the contents, just recently inside a pint can, is dull dirty blond.and densely opaque. Now inside a clear glass Imperial pint mug, it's easy to smell grainy sweetness and citrus-like hops. It drinks sweetly too, likely because of the combination of starches and alcohol. But, it has a good hop bite to balance and keep the sweetness in check. The hops within the sweetness bring references to mango and lemon, with just a little earthiness added in. The finish is dry and citrus rind bitter. Overall, it's nicely balanced, starting sweetly and ending bitterly. That's an excellent taste transition, especially for this style. All this occurs in a soft and rich body, another contribution oats often add. Excellent and recommended, with a lack of glass lacing and just a little too much alcohol to taste as criticisms.
