This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells slightly herbal and spicy, but mostly chocolatey and roasty.
This is just a right down the middle and super solid take on the style. It’s got a little bit of hop character to it, with spicy and herbal bitterness. It’s quite chocolatey, with cocoa powder and light milk chocolate, with a nice roasty bitterness to it.
This is light bodied, and very creamy, with a nice drinkability.
This is exactly what I’m looking for with this style.

Black color. Big, beige head. Roasted malt, bread, cocoa, and herbal hops in the aroma. Same notes in the malty taste. Roasted bitterness at the end.

Dark brown color with a 3F head in a stone imperial glass.
Light roasted malt aroma
Light crisp MF.
Light roasted malt taste.
I should have started at a higher serving temp. As the beer warmed up,
there were more pronounced roasted malt flavors which worked well with the MF.

Completely ink black body, no light getting through at all. Cappuccino colored frothy head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Nose is molasses, toasted bread, fig, cocoa powder. Taste follows with toasted biscuit, a little chocolate in the finish, slight herbal hops. Feel is light, crushable, wants you to just keep drinking it.

Thought I would try it. I took a chance on a brewery I am comfortable with. Smooth, crisp, some lacing and very drinkable. Not great but darned good. I will buy this again.
