Mosaic Down syndrome accounts for about 2-4% of all cases of Down syndrome. Brewed using mostly Mosaic hops, this beer is in honour of all the families affected by Down Syndrome, including our own.

Awesome double IPA with hints of grapefruit and a nice hop finish .. drinkable and crisp , a beer drinkers beer. I enjoyed mine with a nice porter house steak but I can also see it going well with bbq!

Pours a light hazy golden amber colour with frothy white head.Nice tropical fruit nose with some flora and citrus notes. First sip of this Mosaic Hops featured IPA is sweet, hop forward, with good bitterness and flavours of mango, pine, plums and some grassy notes. Medium carbonation, easy drinking double ipa with long lasting finish.

Can: Poured a clear amber color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dank notes with some floral citrusy notes and tropical fruit notes is enjoyable. Taste is also a very good mix between some floral hops notes with some citrusy and floral undertones with some residual sugar noticeable. Body is about average with good carbonation. Lacks a little bit of hops floral notes but still pretty enjoyable.

2015 Batch (from notes)

Aroma - Very fruity, some mango and melon. Super delightful.

Appearance - Pale amber with some haze, off white head.

Flavor - Super light malt character, some light crackery flavors, some sweetness... not cloying at all, Then the hops, again super fruity. Mango and melon, some nice citrus all brought together with a pleasant bitterness. Delicious.

Mouthfeel - Medium light body, with medium light carbonation.

Overall - An exceptional IIPA that plays to my tastes. At 8 % multiple glasses in a night is a possibility. Superb.

500ml bottle ($5.57) from Premier in Halifax. Citrus (grapefruit) aroma. Pours a nice cloudy amber colour with some white head. Heavy bitter taste, to be expected from a double IPA. Medium body with thin texture and average carbonation. It is quite hoppy even for a double IPA, so make sure you like that sort of thing before trying this one.
