The colour is red-brown (35 EBC), much darker than expected. The liquid is clear. The finger thick beige head sinks rather quickly. Some lacing occurs.
The smell got hints of smoke and peat (or is it just my imagination?). Paint and solvents in the background. Caramelized sugar and some raisins. It is a rich scent.
The initial taste taste got notes of butter, toffee and smoky peat. Plenty of “brown” caramel flavours. Somewhat flowery bitter flavours. Grass and some metal. Medium to full body. The aftertaste is sweet with somewhat chemical alcoholic flavours. Quite a lot of metallic bitter flavours, and cheap toffee/Coca-Cola. Vegetables and caramel in the sharp finish.
The carbonation is strong, almost sharp. Short-lived mid-sized bubbles. The liquid is somewhat thick and heavy.
Odd off-flavours in an odd interpretation of the Märzen style. I am not convinced.

The beer is clear brown with orange hints, a tan rather small head leaving some lacing, but good curtains.
Smelling of sour grapes, nettles ans some molasses.
Starting sweet brown bread, porridge, bitter oranges, sour notes of old hay and nettles.
High carbonation, coarse texture, medium body and a dry finish.
There probably is some effort put into this, the result did not really agree with me though.

A: The color is deep copper while the head is compact, tall and tan. The dissipation leaves rich lacings.
S: Rich sweet malt, but also (sadly enough) rich floral hops that brings nettles and grass galore. In my opinion, considering this style, the hops should be there, but way more suttle.
T: RIch bready sweet lovely malts. The floral hops are a bit more held back compared to the smell, but still too obivous. Bitter hops lingers, nicely. Citric notes.
M: Aftertaste holds some sour bitterness, for quite some time. Body is medium as is the carbonation.
O: Not bad, but as a Märzen the hops are way too dominant.
