Poured from a 330ml bottle into a tulip half pint glass.
Pours an inky black colour with almost no head.
Smells rich, roasted, and bitter.
Tastes rich and dark, gloriously so. Mostly bitter chocolate and coffee, with a nice punch of hot whisky minus the alcohol level you'd expect from something with an abv like this.
Overall a really lovely beer, recommended.
