12 ounce can - Charlie's Beer & Wine in Marietta, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a fairly clear, bronze-hued body with a lasting, near-white head.
Smell: A pretty sweetish nose of lightly cooked sugars, light pale malts and a slightly off fruitiness.
Taste: Sugar-coated biscuits with a light caramel quality to it. Mild fruit, including some soft citrus. Minimally bitter. Hops lack a certain, needed crispness. Some alcohol creeping into the finish, though it still closes out pretty sugary.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: I can understand the desire to appeal to, according to Macon Brewing, "amateur and aficionado," but it's just a tad too sweet and sugary, leaving it pretty one-note, for both the amateur and aficionado.

Pours a rather dull and coppery golden color with a slightly red hue and minimal carbonation.
Bitter citrus and citrus pith in the aroma with a strong caramel malt sweetness.
Heavy handed on the malt bill with biscuity and caramelly malt sweetness overpowers a slightly citrus fruit flavor.
Light-bodied, medium carbonation, leans sweet, not well balanced.
Overall, while drinkable, this beer needs a touch up on balance and needs a bit of oomph in the hop bill department.
