Another one of many breweries in downtown Dayton that a basically in walking distance and within the "Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area" where you can go from bar to bar with drink in hand. That is genius. Solid beers that are a staple of the local craft beer scene.

The repurposed industrial building works. Super high ceiling with the bar rail and tables in the front third of the building immediately gives way to foeders and brewery operations, without any barrier. Had ten beers available on tap and a couple blown kegs. Ok quality. Bar server was nice and helpful. Good place to relax and have a couple beers.

I visited this location while on a business trip to Dayton.
It is located in between the nightlife-heavy Oregon District and the minor league ballpark. This area has been revitalized in recent years and now there are several craft brewers within a few blocks of this one. Warped Wing is in a classic industrial setting, inside what looks like an old factory or machine shop. It is a huge, high-ceiling-ed space where the bar and tables are nestled up almost underneath the brewing equipment. You definitely know that you are tasting in a working brewery, which I really appreciate. It is clean and well-maintained inside, but they didn't renovate the building to the point of making it feel modern and antiseptic inside. There is still just the right amount of decades or centuries of wear showing on the building to maintain its character. The sun was streaming in from the high windows, and it was a great place to have a beer on a beautiful Spring day.
The tasting room consisted of a simple bar and simple wooden tables. They had a good mix of indie rock playing and overall the place had a great vibe for me. There were about 12 beers and a half-dozen seltzers on tap, all Warped Wing products. The variety of styles was nice and included 3 barrel aged dark beers that day, which I appreciated. All the beers I tasted were excellent. It would be nice if they had a few more taps, but that is a minor complaint.
There is a kitchen, and my friends and I had a few appetizers, which were nice, but I can't comment on the entrees. Service was good and the staff were friendly. All-in-all, I very much enjoyed my visit and I have no doubt I'll be back.

Coming back from our weekend trip to Yellow Springs we stopped at Warped Wing.
Located in an old industrial building, a former foundry, with the old 10ton crane still there holding one of the tanks of the brewery. I dig this kind of stuff!
The beer offering was endless, I did not count them all. We did not eat but the do have a kitchen offering mainly pizza.

Brewery is located in a mostly abandoned industrial district. The sidewalk in front was roped off because it is crumbling. Had to walk through the street over chunks of concrete and broken bricks to get to the door. Interior is very interesting industrial space with high ceilings. It was very quiet. No music or anything. I felt like I was in a library. Vibe was not great. A few TVs playing sports. Beer selection was excellent though. Plenty of different styles to choose from. Hard seltzer, cider, and cocktails in addition to the beer. Probably not a place I’ll be coming back to though.

Stopped in for brunch. Everyone was good on the masks, etc. Food was good, ordered the Chicken & Waffles and was pleased. Order a few tasters of beer, was most impressed with the 10 barrel Irish Cream stout. I could drink that any day of the week.

Warped Wing was a pleasant surprise. Walked inside and was not expecting such a great open-concept! Great vibe. Good beer. Definitely a good experience all-around with a decent selection of beers.

This is the place to hang in Dayton. Largest & one of the oldest here. The brew master, John Haggerty, is very talented & innovative. He has been involved in the industry for 25+ years. This is high on my Top 5 list of craft breweries in the US - others include Maui Brewing, Confluence Brewing & Thirsty Dog. A new satellite facility in Springboro is currently being completed & should be awesome. Unfortunately this will be as modern as the original is rustic. Can't wait since John will have a 6 barrel test facility for even more varied brews. The taproom is reopening tomorrow, 6/5, after being closed for several months. Love the 10-Ton crane!!
Update to the above (1/6/22) - Since my last review many things have changed, except for the downtown location, which is the same lovable place. The Smokery in Springboro opened with a much fancier location. The food & beers are awesome and mostly the same. The crowd & staff tend to be younger. This month a third location located in Mason, OH is slated to open. The pics look very good. I suspect that the ambiance will be great, but a little far for me to routinely drive. I still hang mostly downtown each week. Try out the Wing!!

18 beers on tap with a bunch of pale ales and IPAs. Really nice, spacious interior with an open view into the brewery. Beers served in 5oz pours, specific glasses and growlers. Many are available in bottles or cans to go.

A cool place with a huge beer selection. The bartenders are knowledgeable and willing to let you taste before buying. Also there's a lot of swag available to purchase.

Visited with my "baby" brother on a trip to visit family in Dayton, never heard of this place, and I'm glad we went. Nice selection of very-good-but-not-world-class beers, service was good, and prices were excellent. I'll revisit when I'm in Dayton again.

Cool reclaimed industrial space turned taproom. Lots of beers on tap and to go. True to style beers, plenty of space, large tables, plenty of parking. Definitely worth a stop in Dayton

I can't add much to what's already been said as there are some very good reviews here already. This is one of the coolest brewery venues I've visited. Very industrial and clean. So much to look at. If you're not enamored with the facility you can look out the windows and see the entire Dayton skyline. Gorgeous place. The staff was friendly, not overly friendly, but friendly and helpful. I ordered a pizza and it was very good. I thought the beer was very good and under rated. A must visit when in the area, you'll be glad you did.

What an amazing location: an old, brick-walled factory warehouse on a quiet spacious side street with a super cool, giant beer can-shaped bike rack out front.
The vertical space in the building is something you don't get a lot in your normal bar or brewery, on top of the fact that there is the iconic crane in the middle of the ceiling above the fermenters that adds so much character to an already cool spot.
Warped Wing has a moderately long bar, with a double walk up ordering station for those in the central seating area to come up and place their orders. This works as long as the place isn't booming, but I can see, as with a few other breweries I've been to, a lack of table service becoming a pet peeve on busy nights.
They have a little window operated separately for ordering food. You get a little buzzer and then go pick it up yourself when it goes off. The food hits the spot for when you're drinking the type of medium to moderately heavy brews they're producing. They offer a pretty wide selection of brews that seem to have a slightly unique take on old standbys.

Really cool taproom. Easily Dayton's most popular brewery. They can lots of beer and most of it is pretty good. I'll admit that over time, this brewery has fallen a little down my rankings. The beer quality just doesn't seem to be what it once was. I would never write them off, but I don't seek them out the way I once did.

To call Warped Wings location industrial, might be an understatement, and I mean that as a compliment. I love the usage of the old factory space, the overhead crane, the old offices, the i-beam, etc... it works.
The beer was tasty, the prices good, and it's a place I could have stayed much longer than I did.

This is in an old warehouse and is very comfortable and laid back. Playing giant Jenga was kool and could pass hours in this place. Nice in the summer when they open up the door so you can see downtown. Wish they had a larger selection of beer on tap.
