I snagged a bottle while trying some at Kelsen on 19DEC19... The 0.5l bottle cost me $15.00 - 2019 vintage aged in rum barrels... FWIW, a 10oz pour at the Brewery was $8.00. Indulging now with a Christmas night-cap...
Pours jet black, deep and opaque. Head is creamy and fine, mocha-hued and rich, ebbing back from 1/4" to a covering layer. Lacing is somewhat on the light side. Aroma has roasty notes, dark fruit, and some rummy action (Hey, Rummy!). Body is a good medium-plus, with a lovely, smooth feel on the tongue.
Flavor has lovely dark, roasty choco, light bitterness, and then dark fruit. I gets me some raisin, date, currant and fig... with some warming rum action in the finish. Nicely done - another solid Kelsen brew! Merry Christmas!!

Thick inky black in color with a stingy but present tightly bubbled tan head that leaves hints of lace on the way down. Roast chocolate licorice and warming alcohol. Bits of earthy wood and light dried fruits. Its a sipper for sure but quite tasty.
