One of my favourite styles. Smells of toffee/coffee; slight head and some lacing. Yeast brings some nice tartness to play on the malt, but can be too heavy handed while the bitterness is there but a bit strong. Overall a muddled flavour profile, too much coffee and confused. Good effort but just not their.

English ale-ish, but ordinary as it goes. A tad too much sweetness to work properly, lots of caramel. The bitter needs a little more muscle and some linger. Passable.
