Brought this back from a September trip to Santorini at the brewery, which is the only place to get it. I really was not sure what to expect, whether it was a barrel aged stout, sour, or what, since the bottle doesn't specify and the lady, at the brewery did not elaborate on the base beer, only to say that it was a different recipe than the rest of their beers.

Pours a medium reddish brown that has a fairly flat head. Smells like a sour with some oakiness, and it's wonderful. Tastes like semi sweet strawberries with a hint of tang but it's a bit watery. Thin mouth feel, but very drinkable.

If you're lucky enough to visit Santorini, even for a day, rent a quad or a car and drop in to Santorini Brewing Company, or at least find the rest of their beers at most reputable restaurants on the island.

Managed to find a Barrel aged beer in Greece. This is aged in the famous sweet dessert wine 'Visanto' by Santo Winery in Santorini. Not quite sure what the base is but the wine tasted to me like a super thick barelywine so a beer aged in that barrel was fun to try.
