Brasserie St. Cru (Sainte Crucienne) “Orange Mécanique”
€4/,25L @ Academie De La Biere, Strasbourg, FR on 19 September 2021
Notes: Hazy gold and orange body with golden highlights beneath a short head of white foam. The head retention is good and it leaves thin rings of lace about the glass. The nose finds sweetish malt with a touch of orange, and the flavor delivers sweet honey is malt, apple, orange, and a delicate spiciness that includes clove. Mildly herbal hop notes round it out, and a moderate bitterness leads to a mostly dry finish as the malt fades. It lingers shortly with honey is hot malt and orange. Medium to medium-full in body and gently crisp.

First, this beer is NOT retired. I just purchased it. There are lovely flavours of citrus, green apples and spices. A bit low on carbonation, but a nice crisp finish with no excessive bitterness.
